Information Management Program

Eastern Mediterranean University is inviting you to participate in a new two-year Information Management diploma program which is taught online entirely over the Internet. The main aim of the program is to produce graduates who have excellent computer usage skills, who know well how to locate informationusing the Internet, how to classify and convey information, and how to use information efficiently. The students are going to gain expertise on office management software, web design, multimedia systems and basic concepts of computer netwoks. Group projects and business communication courses prepare students to the competitive job market of the 21st century.

The program is composed of sixteen 4-credit courses. Each year, 8 of these courses are taken. The students have the flexibility of following the lectures asynchronously according to their choice of the hour of the day. Online examinations and quizes, and assignments and projects are scheduled appropriately. Students have a chance to interact with their lecturers through an interactive chat program.

The requirements for joining this program are :

A high school diploma,
A basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system,
A personal computer connected to the Internet.

An orientation program is designed for the new students at the beginning of the first year to familiarize them with the online learning management system tools that will be used throughout their education.

At the end of each year, written examinations will take place at designated locations chosen as close as possible to the students’ residences.
